Well I think it is time to make this blog be about more than just my sewing and crafts. I have tried over the last couple of years to take at least one picture every day. I do have to admit I have missed some days, and then some days I take lots of them. It has really been fun to go back through the pictures and see the changes over the last couple of years in people, animals and most of all in what I think is important to take pictures of. On that note, I have decided to start posting some of the pictures with some thoughts on what I am seeing at the time or maybe what I am thinking about when taking them.
My journey with God has grown more than I can even begin to say over the last two years and I pray daily for continued growth and to be closer to God each day. He is an awesome God and has taught me tremendous life lessons. I am hoping this blog will continue to show my growth and closeness to God.
I went to Abilene this weekend for my grandson Hal's 10th birthday..... I travel I-20 all the way from Shreveport to Abilene and there are always things to see. This trip the yellow flowers were beautiful and were just everywhere. I wish I had stopped and taken some up close pics, but as usual for me I was running late and didn't think I had time to stop. Someday in my lifetime I am going to start being on time....NOT...LOL
Of course Jake travels with me where ever I go, but this trip he didn't feel very good. Not sure why, but you can tell by this picture he just doesn't feel so good. :( It made me sad.
I stopped by Kendra's house to give her girls the purses I made them for "Christmas" (yes, I know it is May) and then on to visit some very old friends who live in Canton. I decided to change my GPS to take me on the "shortest" route instead of the fastest.... not a good idea.....but I did see some fun things like these guinea that I had to stop so they could cross the road. They were in no hurry but I just couldn't get the camera ready until they were on the other side of the fence.
